Students Urged To Embrace Science & Discipline For Future Success

Students Urged To Embrace Science & Discipline For Future Success

Students at Brainstorm High School have been encouraged to embrace science education, discipline, and purposeful living as key pillars for academic success.

The call was made during a special ceremony held at the school in Kabale to welcome new learners and celebrate the Easter season.

The ceremony, held in the school’s main hall, was presided over by Henry Tumukunde, the Member of Parliament for Rukungiri Municipality, who attended as the chief guest. The function officially welcomed Senior One and Senior Five students into the school community.

While addressing learners, Tumukunde stressed the importance of prioritising science subjects, noting that they are critical to shaping opportunities in today’s competitive, technology-driven world. He urged students to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to continuous self-improvement.

He also challenged the school leadership to integrate Artificial Intelligence into the curriculum, emphasising that early exposure to modern technologies would equip students with relevant skills for the future.

Meanwhile, Ariiho Alex, the Chief Executive Officer of the African Agribusiness Incubators Network, called on parents to work closely with the school to support learners. He underscored the importance of parental involvement in guiding, mentoring, and encouraging students at home.

The school director, Habasa Erasmus, urged new students to embrace the institution’s values, maintain discipline, and strive for excellence. He encouraged them to build on the school’s strong academic foundation and aim for greater achievements.

Head teacher Bikogomuhangi Bernard also advised students to stay focused and take their studies seriously, noting that joining the school marks a significant step that demands hard work, determination, and commitment.

The leaders collectively called on students at Brainstorm High School to prioritise science education, uphold discipline, and live purposeful lives to succeed academically and beyond.
