380 military police officers graduate
About 380 Military Police Officers have been passed out at the Military Police Training Headquarters in Masindi District.
The Officers have completed level three training course that lasted for four months.
The passed out function of Military Police Training Headquarters was presided over by Major General Don Nabasa the Commander of Military Police in Uganda.
The aim of the course was to impart knowledge and skills so that they are capable to assist the defense forces and civil authority.
Maj. Gen. Nabasa has challenged them to always be disciplined and remain calm while executing their work in the hostile environment they operate in, mostly in urban centers.
He also appealed to the officers to seek for more knowledge through attending various courses if they are to steer this country in the right direction.
The head of training at the Military Police Training School Masindi Brigadier Amon Kagina notes that some officers who were recruited for the course did not complete it on medical grounds while others were imprisoned due to indiscipline.
Joab Businge the Masindi Municipality Member of Parliament has urged the Military Police Officers to ensure that they properly utilize the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.
