Youths Urged To Respect Elders In Annual Conference

GLORIUS

The youth from West Ankore Diocese have been asked always to exhibit high levels of respect to the elders and were told that there are immense blessings in doing so.

This was said by the Bishop of West Ankole Diocese Rt Rev Twinomujuni Johnson while closing the 15th annual youths conference held at Bweranyangi cathedral in Bushenyi-Ishaka municipality, Bushenyi District.

Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni who is the host of this youths conference narrated how the youth of this generation have no respect for old people but instead choose to verbally abuse and undermine them regardless of their age.

More so, he encouraged them to always lend a helping hand to the elderly whenever they need help noting that they should expect to enjoy the blessings of this world if this is done.

One of the guests has also encouraged the youth to make their parents their best friends and avoid fearing them, especially on matters concerning sexual relations.

In addition to the courage she was giving to the youth, she asked them to always know the type of friends they are surrounding themselves with and above all, make Jesus their friend.
The senior bible expositor Mushabe Benards explained God's favour on human lives. He referred to Hannah's story of giving birth at 90.

This 15th annual youths convention started on 4th- 8th January, was under the theme " Conforming to the truth of the word not to the patterns of the world" obtained from Romans 12:1-2 and a big number of the youths gave their life to Christ.
