Police Tips Moslems On Security During Holy Month Of Ramadan
As Muslims in Uganda join the rest of the world for the holy month of Ramadan, the Uganda Police Force has urged Moslem leaders to create security teams that will work with the police in curbing the lawlessness that tends to increase during this time.
The acting Inspector General of Police Maj made the call. Gen. Geoffrey Tumusiime Katsigazi in his message read by police spokesperson Fred Enanga.
Yesterday Muslims across the globe officially started fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, a period that will last until 9th April 2024.
During this period, Muslims in Uganda have been tipped to be security conscious and also form security groups that will help in addressing the high criminality tendencies.
Delivering the message from the acting Inspector General of Police, Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga advised Muslims to promote the basic tendencies of forgiveness, love, tolerance, forgiveness and compassion.
Enanga also urged employers to support their Muslim employees by assisting them in one way or the other.
