Over 1000 Clergy Passed Out After Patriotism Training In Kumi

The colorful Ceremony was held at Ngora high school playground.

The State minister for Energy, Okaasai Opolot applauded the Archbishop of Church of Uganda His Grace Kazimba Mugalu and the Bishop of Kumi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Micheal Okwii Esakhan who worked hard to make sure the Patriotism training is held.

Hon. Okaasai who passed out the trained clergy urged them to be advocates of Development in Teso and Uganda.

Meanwhile, The Rt. Rev. Micheal Okwii Esakhan, Bishop of Kumi Diocese commended the President, National Secretariat and the trainers who supported the Patriotism training.

He also appealed to the President of Uganda to appoint a minister and two state ministers from Kumi Diocese.

Henry Mugisha, Intercessor of the Archbishop for the Province of Church of Uganda urged the Reverends and Archdeacons to have security committees to work with the church.

The deputy Commissioner National Secretariat for Patriotism Cops, attached to president’s office Mubaraka Magomu pointed out that they conducted the training for the clergy because of  the need and desire of other institutions that are not gazetted within their mandate.

Ngora Resident District Commissioner, Stephen Ekoom noted that the training went well and did not register any incident of insecurity.
