The newly elected leaders of Buhaguzi Muslim County under the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council in Kikuube district have been sworn in with an appeal to members to work towards peace and development of the Muslim community.

The new Buhaguzi Muslim County leadership in Kikuube district was sworn in by the Bunyoro Muslim district khadhi, Sheikh Musa Babanja at Kigede Mosque in Buhimba town council, Kikuube district.

The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by the Kikuube resident district commissioner AmlanTumusiime, Buhaguzi East County Member of Parliament Stephen Aseera Itaza, among other leaders.

The new leaders were elected in the recently concluded Uganda Muslim Supreme Council nationwide elections. Addressing the new leaders, Stephen Aseera Itaza has urged the new leaders to go by the oath of secrecy they have sworn in and work towards development.

The RDC AmlanTumusiime has urged the Muslim leadership to support government initiatives by mobilizing all Muslims to embrace them.

AmlanTumusiime- RDC Kikuube (When you hear people saying Amlan is the problem in the district just tell them that am fighting corrupt) officials, I am not fighting people bad corruption because the time is going to come and we fail to give accountability to voters and Museveni will fail to get votes, I am telling you, brethren Kikuube has corrupt officials, CAO assigns her own Driver without going through right procedures of service commission and when I intervene they call me a bad person)

Fellow Muslim believers asked the new leaders to come up with good policies that will spearhead development in education and unite the Muslims. Buhaguzi Muslim County has 6000 Moslem s with 24 mosques.
