Leave Aside Your Political Backgrounds And Be United: Archbishop Urge Soroti Christians

Leave Aside Your Political Backgrounds And Be United: Archbishop Urge Soroti Christians

As we mark the end of July, Sunday 30 July 2023, different preachers conveyed their messages to varying churches as they sought to enrich the spiritual lives of the Christians.

The preachers shared significant teachings, with fighting spiritual oppression as the most surfacing.

Based on the topic, “United to overcome spiritual oppression”, today’s preacher Monicah Arinaitwe, at Kakumba Chapel, Kyambogo University encouraged Christians to seize from worrying, Find comfort and peace because God gave us power over everything including the devil adding that Worry and anxiety are all weapons of Satan to keep us from experiencing the full life that God has for us. These emotions can overwhelm and keep us paralyzed.

The same theme as at Kakumba Chapel, “United to overcome spiritual oppression” guided the sermon at All Saints Cathedral Nakasero in Kampala.

The preacher, Rev. Jasper Ahimbisibwe remembered Christians to invite God into their midst, for it is by Him that they shall succeed in fights battles/challenges.

The teaching was derived from the book of Acts 12:1-11

Ryder Mills who was the preacher at St. Francis Chapel, Makerere University, discouraged the idolization of preachers and encouraged Christians to embark on understanding God.
