C.O.U Family TV launched on DSTV channel 375
Church of Uganda Family TV has been launched on DSTV in a bid to boost its viewership to reach its audience across East Africa.
The C.O.U Family TV Managing Director, Mr. Amos Mwesigye announced its launch on DSTV channel 375 in an event that took place on Tuesday morning at Church House in Kampala.
The audience that included clergy, partners, stakeholders, well-wishers and staff celebrated the milestone in thanksgiving to God.
The Multi-choice Head of Marketing, Loyce Kwikiriza says C.O.U Family TV will be shown in every home with a DSTV decoder in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The Vicar, Church of Resurrection Bugolobi, Rev. Can. Geoffrey Byarugaba who represented the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The most Rev. Can. Dr. Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu congratulated the audience upon this milestone. Re-echoing that Church of Uganda has majority of shares in C.O.U Family TV, Rev. Can. Byarugaba urged staff to work with excellence while providing wholesome content to the audience.
Members of the Board of Directors, Canon Charles Tukacungurwa, Engineer Justus Akankwasa and Dr. Christine Nalwadda who graced the occasion also urged the staff to express excellence while extending the Good News of the Kingdom of God and contribute to social economic development.
Mr Mwesigye appreciated the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Clergy, stakeholders, Board of Directors, Partners and Staff for the support they have accorded the station over the years to achieve this breakthrough.
The Equity Bank Relationship Manager, Public Sector and social investments, Samuel Kazooba who expressed ecstasy called upon the public to watch C.O.U Family TV for family friendly content. The television’s vision is “To be the region’s most acclaimed model Family TV”. Its mission is to every home the very best in family friendly programs with a Christian focus that the whole family enjoy together.
