Businesswoman Stabbed In Kasese
Police in Kasese are investigating the circumstances under which Florence Okeny a 58-year businesswoman was murdered by unknown assailants in Kilembe Quarters, Central Division of Kasese Municipality.
Annah Kule, a neighbour to the deceased told our reporter that she heard an alarm at around 12am in the morning from the home of Florence Okeny, the now deceased businesswoman.
Kule recounted that after few minutes, she went with other neighbours to check what had happened, only to find Florence Okeny lying in a pool of blood.
Safari added that the deceased was reportedly waiting for some people to come and pick the keys at the time she was murdered.
According to local leaders cases of insecurity have lately been on the rise in Kasese after the police decided to merge and close some police posts across the country in a policy shift following the attacks on police posts.
The Rwenzori East police spokesperson, Nelson Tumushime said that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
