Best Performing PLE Girls In Nwoya Awarded Scholarship

Religious institutions have been hailed for being at the frontline in providing quality education in the country.

The comments were made by the deputy speaker of parliament, Rite Honourable Thomas Tayebwa while presiding over the 2nd graduation ceremony of the University of St. Joseph Mbarara.

A total of 180 students graduated in various fields at the University of St. Joseph Mbarara.

Deputy Speaker Tayebwa urged the Graduands to be good ambassadors of the university at their workplaces and communities. Tayebwa noted that the good conduct of the Graduands is key to the university’s growth.

In his remarks, the university chancellor – the Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha challenged the university to think of empowering the students with vocational skills so that they come out as more job creators.

The graduation which attracted hundreds of people including political and religious leaders took place at the university’s grounds in Mbarara City South division- in Mbarara City

The ceremony started with a mass led by Archbishop Lambert Bainomugisha.
