146 Receive PDM Funds In Rubanda

The State Minister for Finance in charge of general duties, Henry Musasizi Ariganyira has launched the disbursement of Parish Development Model (PDM) funds for Rubanda district.

The minister who is also the Rubanda East Member of parliament presided over the function that was held at Rubanda town council grounds.

During the launch, Over Ushs 102 Million was sent out to 146 beneficiaries from different parishes across the district.
According to the Chief Administrative Officer for Rubanda district, several applications had been received to benefit from PDM but most of them did not meet the requirements to gain from the scheme.

District leaders who attended the launch of the disbursement of the funds noted that they had received a lot of criticism from potential beneficiaries who had lost hope in the fund following delayed release to their individual accounts.

In his remarks, Musasizi noted that the government is optimistic that PDM will reach a long way in helping its targeted beneficiaries in acquiring a better economic status.

Musasizi said that with the funding that the government has already released for this scheme, all that Ugandans need to have is a mindset change and embrace it without any doubt about its effectiveness.
