UNEB Dismisses Fake Reports On 2024 PLE Results Release Date

The Uganda National Examinations Board has come out to clarify the fake news that have been circulating on social media after a post was released stating that the Primary Leaving Examination results are to be released on the 17th January 2025.

The board has stated that the post should be disregarded addressing that the official release date is yet to be communicated.
A post regarding the release of the Primary Leaving Examination results has been making rounds on social media stating that the results are to be released on Friday 17th January 2025.

However,the Board took to social media clarifying that the post was illegitimate .In an interview with the Public Relation Officer of UNEB, Jennifer Kalule stated that the information was fake news and the examination results are not set to be released yet until further communication.

Ms. Kalule asserted that there are quality assurance processes being handled by the board before the release of the results and further stated that the Board is yet to formally communicate the release of the examination results, however, the public shall be notified at the right time.

She noted that the release of the results undergo procedures that require going through the Ministry of Education as well in order to release the results.

A total of 798,742 students at different centers across the country sat for the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) marking a 6.6% rise from the previous year and in an interview  prior to the examinations with Ms. Jennifer Kalule, the Public Relation Officer of UNEB, she stated that it was in the board's best interest to ensure that all learners pass their examinations and anticipated a good performance.
