Kampala Diocese: Five ordained as priests and deacons

Kampala Diocese: Five ordained as priests and deacons

The Ordination service was presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda who doubles as the Bishop of Kampala Diocese accompanied by the His Assistant, The Rt.  Rev. Dr. Hannington Mutebi.

Three Deacons including Rev. Misuseera Mukadeayigga, Rev Frank Kiconco and Rev, Richard Musinguzi and two Priests including Rev. Agnes Natukunda and Rev. Geoffrey Eluk took their oaths of canonical obedience.

These were then presented before the Archbishop for ordination after which he blessed them.

During the service, the sermon was delivered by the Bishop of South Ankole Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe who emphasized that the Christians should receive and honour the priests as they are anointed by God.

He also dramatically stressed that the priests should live a life that is worthy of their calling.

The Priests and Deacons are expected to use their gifts to expand the Kingdom of God.
