Kabale Muslims Urged To Embrace Jobs As A Way To Lower Crime Rates In Uganda
As Muslims around the world observe aid-al-adha, they have been encouraged to embrace diverse job opportunities to attain success in life and also to address the escalating crime rates that are closely linked to the high levels of unemployment in the nation.
The Kabale District Kadhi, Sheikh Kabu Lule, articulated these sentiments while leading the Muslim community in Eid al-Adha prayers at Kirigime Mosque in Kabale Municipality.
Sheikh Kabu Lule, the Kabale District Kadhi, has urged Muslims to embrace all types of jobs to achieve success and reduce crime rates in Uganda. Speaking during the Eid al-Adha prayers at Kirigime Mosque in Kabale Municipality, Lule highlighted that the increasing cases of robbery and theft are linked to unemployment, but these can be mitigated if people accept even small jobs.
In the same prayers, Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Catherine Ndamira, asked Muslims to maintain peace in the country by avoiding criminal activities.
Today's celebrations saw the slaughtering of 216 cows and 100 sheep and goats, donated by Fatih Furan from Turkey.
