Business Has Not Normalized At Mpondwe Border-Kasese
Business traders in Mpondwe Lhubiriha Market at Mpondwe border in Kasese district is in fear after the suspected Allied Democratic Forces hacked to death 43 Ugandans in Nuabugando II Cell, Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town Council kasese district which has left many Congolese failing to access the market.
These call upon the government to strengthen the security of the two counties to see the situation normalize.
In a conversation with COU family TV, Peter Kule a business operator noted since suspected Allied Democratic Forces attacked Mpondwe-Lhubiriha SS the cross border business at Mpondwe border was heavily affected since locals are still not sure of their safty.
Other traders who deal in second hand clothes and shoes says they are making few sells which has not been the case compared to other days before the attack, this is believed to have been caused by the fear that the suspected Allied Democratic Forces may anytime come back to their village.
These call upon the government to reduce for them the taxes and market dues
While speaking to COU FAMILY TV Few days ago the state minister for National Guidance said the cross border business has been affected on Ugandan side.
